Successful Project.
We believe that access to clean water is a Human Birthright
Access to water are recognized by the United Nations as human rights – fundamental to everyone’s health, dignity and prosperity. However, billions of people are still living without safely managed water and sanitation.
Marginalized groups are often overlooked, and sometimes face discrimination, as they try to access the water and sanitation services they need. Governments must take a human rights-based approach (HRBA) to water and sanitation improvements, so that no one gets left behind.
Ghana Community Development and Life Care in collaboration with Germain based entity and local partners have provided a borehole water system to ensure the supply of safe drinking water for domestic used and irrigation of agricultural land in rural villages such *Domiabra, Hobor, kwekupanfo, Obom* etc in the *Ga South District* of the Greater Accra region.
Some of the rural areas of the District of Ga South is characterised by poor access to drinking water with only few population having easy and direct access to water. The main purpose of this project is to improve the hygiene, social and economic condition of the local population by providing proper and safer water for all people.
This project also contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and well-being, SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. With the aid of our able research teams we have identified water point in other various villages without access to water and with further grant from our donors we will be able to drill more boreholes to make life easier for all of us.
